Hey, I’m Stacie. AN NYC Professional Photographer + Hodgepodge Photo Essayist
Whether you’re here to book a photography session, read my photo essays, or judge how I decorate my living room, thanks for stopping by. I’ll Have What She’s Having is my weekly photo essay series where I write about living in NYC, my vintage modern fashion style, decorating my 485 square foot apartment, and oversharing my Vaginismus journey. Each essay is paired with my art, photography.
A New York City Creative Photographer & Content Creator:
Firstly, I’m no bimbo.
Growing up, every movie or tv show named their bimbo character “Stacie”. She was an airhead, ditzy, or slutty. She was laughable. Girls associated with my name were not to be taken seriously.
And then “Stacie” got hijacked for Fountain’s of Wayne’s Stacie’s Mom and all hell broke loose as every human on the planet started singing about my mom three seconds after learning my name. I used to introduce myself as “Stacie, yes, my mom’s got it going on”, in hopes the chorus wouldn’t break out.
But it’s time to put the stereotypes to bed. I’m reclaiming my name for me and all the other Stacie’s out there, whether they’re “ey” “y” or actually “Anastacia’s”.
I’m reclaiming this name that had me growing up disappointed in how I was portrayed in the movies. And disappointed that a song about sexualizing my mom was constantly sung to me.
I’m an intelligent Stacie who loves her mom, owns a small business, likes to craft and read, and has healthy relationships with my husband and friends.
I’m a full time photographer and blogger living on the Upper West Side in Manhattan. You can find me rushing Broadway musicals, jogging the city, thrifting, and eating doughnuts.
Secondly, in this space, we are far from air-headed. I write about 5 main things:
How to style yourself in a wardrobe that feels you-i-est and how to shop for pieces that will stay in your wardrobe for years.
How to decorate your small apartment (I have one, and it’s a creative challenge to make it all fit and to make it all look good).
I’m sharing all about how I have had Vaginismus on and off the past 12 years. I offer resources to those who have it and to those who know someone with it.
I live in NYC and I love to create content around this quirky big city. Sometimes I write essays, take photos, or make videos.
Every now and then I share my tips for those who want to be photographers.

Are we a good match?
I’m an artistic NYC photographer who isn’t for everyone. I’m a great fit for you if love feeling: seen and celebrated. I want your photos to look like they could be on the cover of a magazine or a still from a movie. Our goal is to be creative while making you feel like yourself and relaxed AF.
Photo Style Aesthetic: My work is inspired by Cinematic, Editorial, and Lifestyle Aesthetics. I’ll give you timeless photos while also giving you funkified photos that fuse artistic and filmy vibes. Filmy, Funky, Sometimes Grainy, Moody, Old Hollywood; Editorial; Style of photos
Session vibes: Not in a rush, Seamless, Stressless, a good groovy soundtrack, encouraging (on my end I’m always telling you the great truth I see in you!), confidence-inducing, laughter, goofiness, and empowering.
Pace Feels like: unhurried (Yeah! Even families can have more documentary style unhurried sessions!), un-rushed moments of joy and with those you love. 75% posed, 25% candid.
Posing and Interacting Feels like: At my core, I’m a listener and I typically get a quick read on my clients’s comfort level around the camera. Wherever you’re at with the camera, shooting with me is like sitting across from an old friend, sipping on something warm and comforting. You leave feeling cheery, confident, and alive at the end of your session. Just wait until you see the pictures, darl’n. You’ll freak.
Types of Sessions:
Creative Portraits and Styled Intentional Shoots
Day in the Life Sessions for branding, professionals, lovers, families, creatives, etc. In home or around your neighborhood. You doing what you do with my camera and I along for the ride.
