Style Challenge | Jewelry Week

Okay, so I really want to know-- is staying in your comfy clothes all day really working for you?

Challenge your style this week with a Jewelry Challenge to wear the jewelry in your closet!

If so, I'm here to virtually give you a high five and be all like, "WHAT?" because not putting on clothes to mentally wake up has been SO hard for me during my working-from-home-in-a-pandemic phase. My brain just sits in a very lethargic state if my bra isn't on and my leisure clothes aren't put away.

That's why I came up with the idea to have a weekly style challenge. Something to motivate me to get up, get moving, and feel like I've mentally shown up for my day.

This week, I'm on vacation (we are headed to one of our favorite spots to vacation in— San Marcos! Because it’s cheaper to stay there, plus there’s so much to do in Austin and San Antonio nearby AND you have to travel through Waco to get there, so Silos cupcakes are a must!). So I wanted to choose something easy to pack and easy to dress up any outfit--- and that my friends, is jewelry.

BUST OUT YOUR JEWELS!

And it surprises me that I'm even doing anything jewelry related at all because I don't have much jewelry and I don't wear much jewelry. It’s the last thing I think to wear and usually my outfits feel put together without jewelry—- BUTTTTTT, what I've found with this style challenge is that sometimes being intentional to wear something we don't usually pick out of our closet is the best way to wear what's actually in our closet. And my jewelry is in my closet because I like it and want to wear it. And if I don’t like it and don’t want to wear it, Marie Kondo needs to raid my closet!

If you’re new to style challenges, let me ask you this— Do you ever stop and ask yourself why you don't wear some of the items in your closet? That necklace you love? That dress you wore to your sister’s rehearsal dinner? That super bold skirt you were so excited to wear? Maybe if we start intentionally trying to pair these items with our every day clothes we can start to see how versatile our closets are AND much we really do love what's already in our closets.

That’s one of the goals of style challenge. To love what’s in our closets and to challenge ourselves to style outfits we might not typically consider styling.

I want to hear from you! What part of your closet do you want to wear, but struggle to wear? I’d love to incorporate that thing into my style challenge week so we can challenge you and others to wear what’s in your closet! Yay! Let me know in the comments!

Until our next challenge,

Stacie
