Just a few vintage meets modern Valentine’s Date night outfit ideas for those of you who like to get dressed up and go out on the town!
Read MoreI can already see the leaves in Stars Hollow changing from green to golden brown! I can smell the crisp scent of cooler weather in the air. And most importantly, I can see the Autumn Outfits straight from the early 2000’s returning for one more go in 2023.
Maybe you’ve booked an Autumn PhotoSession with me in Central park in New York City or maybe you’re just now beginning to consider that your Fall Wardrobe might need some updating. Either way, I’d love to show you outfits I’m inspired by, especially as I’ve been looking through the catalogs of Gilmore GIrls fashion on Pinterest!
Read MoreI believe shades of black and whites can be neutrals depending on the person, which means each person needs to figure out which shade of black and which shade of white looks best with their skin type, hair, and eyes (and if you’re a fun creative person who really doesn’t care what colors you wear, these posts might not be for you, and that’s okay).
Read MoreSomething I wish I would have known when I first started shopping for myself wayyyyy back in high school (2004?), was this: color matters.
Read MoreIn efforts to encourage you to be more sustainable, to enjoy building a creative wardrobe, and to create a timeless wardrobe you LOVE, I’ve put together a few posts shining the light on HOW to create a timeless wardrobe. I do want to acknowledge that our bodies do change for one reason or another, and sometimes we have to let go of a carefully curated wardrobe to carefully curate another. I want to always encourage you to strive to minimize waste and to create a wardrobe absolutely LOVE.
Firstly, I’m 32 and I just found out what my color palette is a year ago. I’d had an inkling recently, but this past year I really nailed down my 7-10 colors (which has made shopping and putting together outfits SO much easier, it seriously feels like a burden has been lifted).
Read MoreIf you’ve been following along on my instagram every week, you’ll notice I host a weekly Style Challenge.
What is Style Challenge?
We could easily grab and wear the same five shirts every week, right? But the purpose of Style Challenge is to
1) wear your closet (this way we’re participating in slow fashion by not trying to keep up with trends, but trying to buy and wear timeless pieces we want to keep around for a long time), and
2) keep your outfits creatively styled with weekly themes.
Read MoreDid you know it’s Tolkien Reading Day?
On a lighter note, I’ve got three Shire-inspired outfit ideas if you want to dress like a modern Frodo Baggins! It doesn’t have to be Tolkien Reading Day to get your hobbit-style on!
On a more meaningful note, I want to share what marriage, depression, and Tolkien have in common.
Read MoreOn a somewhat related note, one of the reasons I love watching White Christmas every year, is because... COSTUMES. There's a scene where Vera Ellen wears a yellow turtle neck tucked into a yellow circle skirt, and it's an outfit I've loved ever since I first saw White Christmas in high school.
So, I'm here for the turtlenecks and the yellow turtlenecks at that. I am trying my hardest not to wear my own yellow turtleneck every day. Though admittedly, I am desperately looking for a yellow skirt to match it so I can live out my Vera Ellen outfit inspo dreams. 💛
BUST OUT YOUR JEWELS!
And it surprises me that I'm even doing anything jewelry related at all because I don't have much jewelry and I don't wear much jewelry. But what I've found with this style challenge is that sometimes being intentional to wear something we don't usually pick out of our closet is the best way to wear what's actually in our closet.

Honestly, every look Gal Gadot wore in 1984 was PHENOMENAL, classy, and dare I say, timeless?
You can make this powerful look at home too!
Read MoreEvery week I like to challenge myself to have an outfit theme! If you’re on Instagram I use the hashtag #staystyledwithstacie
Style challenges have helped me feel motivated to stay creative with my every day outfits, especially during the pandemic. Maybe you need some creativity motivation too? As this is the first month of the challenge, I’ve chosen themes that are a bit easier and flexible. But maybe the themes will become more challenging as we go?
I’m really excited for February’s themes! I’ve listed them out for you so you can plan ahead for them!
PANTS: January 31-February 6
JEANS: February 7-February 13
SKIRTS: February 14-February 20
SWEATERS: February 21-27
JEWELRY: February 28-March 6
And because I loved my vintage pants illustrations so much, I designed this mug with them!
Read MoreAs with all things, I’m not too hard on myself with this challenge and you shouldn’t be either. If the theme is pants, and I wear pants twice that week— THAT’S A WIN. If the theme is skirts, and I wear a skirt for half a day— THAT’S A WIN. If the theme is cozy and we lean into that real hard with jammies every day— WIN.
The point is to encourage intentional outfit curation and creativity— not to police ourselves.
Let’s get creative with our closets, yeah?
Read MoreYou heard it right— I’m opening another Etsy shop!
With the success of The Vow Collective, I wanted to open an Etsy shop that allowed me to design anything I dream up, not just items related to Vows, weddings, and anniversaries!
With the creation of the Coffee Club and my love for mugs and sweatshirts, I decided to design a few apparel pieces and mug items I’m excited for you to be able to cozy up with this winter!

Sometimes we already have Disney-like costumes waiting in our closets we just have to discover them!
Mickey and Minnie’s usual color scheme is black, white, red, and yellow! Go find those colors in your own closet and pull them out to mix and match and see what your options are!
Polka dots are true to Minnie Mouse’s original dress! If you have any polka dotted pants, skirts, or tops in your closet— these could work!
If you don’t have Mickey’s yellow shoes, add a pop of yellow somewhere else! I added a yellow sweater and a red belt to my look!
Depending on where you live, you’re still in shorts + sleeveless territory, or, you’ve fully transitioned to sweater weather— no matter what season you’re in, there are so many ways to incorporate that “autumn” vibe into your every day clothing.
Every year I have a million ideas for transitioning my summer clothing to Fall clothing, so this year, I thought I’d share FIVE of my favorite tips and ideas!

Read MoreI had so much fun putting together this outfit! If you didn’t know, this is not a costume, but is actually considered a bound.
This is my first time to bound. If you’re not sure what bounding is, I totally get it! I saw #disneybound on Instagram a few years ago and had to look it up because I’d never heard of it (that makes me feel like a social media grandma, admitting I had to look something up!). Bounding is when you wear your own clothing to create a costume-like outfit. Color Me Courtney is an absolutely boss at Disney Bounds. Here are all the bounds she came up with during quarantine).
Read MoreOnce I designed the sketch, I crafted the real headband using some of my pop up book skills for creating levels on the headband. I hot glued the bunnies and the painted chopsticks to the headband (SO MUCH HOT GLUE EVERYWHERE!), mourned with my Dad (who loves peeps) the loss of so many uneaten Peeps, had my photoshoot, then added in illustrations in post-editing. You can see the sketch and illustration process in the video in this post!
