Dr. Pepper Cream Soda Latte Coffee Recipe!

How to make a Dr. Pepper Latte with Stacie Stine

I’m not sure where to start with how excited I am about this recipe — this is a southern guilty pleasure latte. That’s probably what we should call it.

How to Make a Dr. Pepper Latte at Home! Be Your Own Barista with Stacie Stine!

If you’re not a Dr. Pepper fan— I get it. My husband calls it “Satan’s Syrup” and I’m guessing that comes from how much people either hate it or can’t get enough of it. If you’re like me, you fall into the latter category.

For me, this is an “only every now and then” dessert latte. A feel good latte. A bubbly carbonated latte that makes me feel like a million dollars. If an evil villain was allowed to drink a latte every day— I think a Dr. Pepper Latte would be their choice of pleasure. Dr. Pepper Lattes are just. so. devilishly. good.

And I know what some of you coffee snobs are thinking— this is not how you drink coffee. This much milk or sugar should never be added to coffee. THIS RECIPE DOES NOT APPRECIATE THE COFFEE NOTES. I hear you. You are entitled to your thoughts and feelings.

But all hail the Dr. Pepper Latte, because it is so damn good.

To make this super easy latte:

Combine equal parts espresso (I use two shots), milk of your choice, and Dr. Pepper (I’ve been using either Dr. Pepper or Dr. Pepper Cream Soda for an extra fun twist!). I always like things on the sweeter side, so I ALWAYS add more Dr. Pepper to taste! I add the ice last! If you need an extra sweet boost, add a tsp. of vanilla syrup!

In my video I added too much milk foam to my drink, so I had to sip some down before I could pour enough Dr. Pepper in for my liking. Sometimes I forget what I’m doing and get so excited about my new foam maker I make WAY too much foam or pour too much milk into my drink!

If you’re interested in making more lattes from home and are wanting to invest a bit in your craft, I’m using this foam maker and I always rely on my Nespresso for the best espresso shots! The two machines I have are on the more affordable end of latte making machines! And I honestly believe they both do a great job at making tasty lattes. We are pretty critical of our coffee, and feel like these are up to par!
