A Short Spring Gratitude List | NYC Diaries

Another Cherry Blossom Season has come and gone and I thought I would take a moment to write out a few moments I’ve been so grateful for this spring:

1. As someone who struggles with seasonal depression, I’m finding myself so grateful for warmer weather, few layers to throw on before leaving the house, and less snot flowing out of my nose as I walk through New York City on a daily basis.

2. I’m grateful that my friends showed up for my Met Gala Party and played pin the sunglasses on Karl Lagerfield even though most of them didn’t know who he was.

3. I’m grateful for my husband, Brett, and for him encouraging me to attend a Marriage Workshop this past weekend. It was so so helpful and after being married for eleven years, I’m really so grateful for how willing he is to still grow as my husband. If you want to hear more about the helpful and practical communication tools we learned from our workshop, just ask me about it!

4. I’ve been struggling to feel comfortable or confident in any pair of jeans lately, but I’m grateful for a consistent routine lately that has helped me get to workout classes, and even if my waistline is never impacted by my working out, my mental health sure is and that’s worth it all.

What are you grateful for this Spring?

Where and When to Take Your Own Cherry Blossom Photos In New York City:

If you’re wondering where we took these Cherry Blossom Photos, there’s an amazing little spot on 86th street near the Reservoir that blooms every year around the middle to end of April. But if you’re looking for the best Cherry Blossom spots in Central Park, I actually think the East Side of the Reservoir might be the best.
