Ways to Celebrate your Gals | Galentine's

What would we do without our best gals? Our bosom friends. Our kindred spirits. Without them, who would we admit how many oreos we eat to? Who would we cry our eyes out to on Marco Polo? Who would we dance in deserted parking lots with? Who would we dress up as pirates with to get free Krispy Kreme?

Whether your best gals live near or far, are recent additions to your life, or have been your ride or dies since kindergarten, I've got some Amazon, Snail Mail, and gift ideas for you! I’m a pretty chill gal, so as much as I love what I see on Pinterest of BIG epically decorated Galantine’s brunches, my list is for women who are trying to keep things meaningful, but simple.

  1. Make it Sacrificial

Sacrifice your latte for the week and send her one via Starbucks gift card. You can send one via imessage or Email— it’s super easy and she will feel SO loved.

  2. Make it Crafty + Encouraging

Cut out paper hearts and on the back of each one, write out something she’s contributed to your relationship. Send them to her via Snail Mail in an envelope you decorated yourself!

  3. Make it Social

Spend time considering your top 5 memorable moments with her- post a photo of the two of you sharing with the social media world your top five moments.

  4. Make it RomComtastic

Whether you’re looking forward to a certain Netflix sequel, or really want to watch a handful of throwback RomComs, ask her to clear her schedule for a night of popcorn, wine, and RomComs. Split the babysitting bill with her.

  5. Make It An Easy Amazon Delivery

A world of gift options, but these could be fun: Heart-shaped purse, A pink scalloped sweater, some matching cozy pink slippers . The best Chai Tea Latte Mix I will never stop talking about.

  6. Make it about her relationship/marriage

Buy her and her significant other a date box (whether she has kids or not, date box has ideas for staying in AND going out! Brett and I were gifted one for Christmas once, and we loved it. It took the pressure off us having to plan something).

  7. Make it meaningful and quick

Send her a text letting her know how much she means to you. If you have time, give her a call, ask her how her week is going, and really listen to her.

  8. Make it Picture Worthy

Take a picture together hugging or smiling at each other. As I was writing this post, I was looking for pictures of me with my best Gals. AND CAN’T BELIEVE I DON’T HAVE ANY PICTURES WITH SOME OF THEM. Like, just the two of us. WHO ARE WE? Am I even a photographer? Are we even friends? So Kim, Amy, and Nicole— we need an engagement session for our friendships next time I see you.

You are all beautiful mermaids who deserve a waffle topped with heaps of whipped cream. Are you planning on celebrating Galentines? Do you have plans? I’d love to see if you use any of my ideas!
