I was given a lot of artistic control for this wedding, and the result is a collection that exudes the glamour and sophistication reminiscent of old-school celebrities. Kelsey's portraits in the hallways of the Empire Hotel capture the essence of a classic Hollywood heartthrob, while Sofia's natural light portraits in her hotel room showcase the beauty of her non-traditional two-piece beaded dress, giving off a charming 20s flapper feel.
Every detail of Sofia and Kelsey's wedding was carefully curated to align with the Old Hollywood aesthetic. The bar at Madame Mikette’s and the details of their wedding invitations. The detail photos of the invitation, shoes, and jewelry against the backdrop of New York City taxis is SO COOL and iconic. I love that I was able to bring their vision to life in these photos.
And can we talk about Madame Mikettes? The couple tied the knot at Madame Mikettes in Midtown East, a venue tied to fortune telling roots. The beautiful space allowed natural light to peek in, creating an ethereal atmosphere for their ceremony. The venue's upstairs loft provided a cozy spot for guests to hang out during the ceremony-to-reception rearrangement.
After saying their vows, Sofia and Kelsey escaped to the 42nd Street overlook for some couples portraits. This overlook just rules.
